Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Prakriya Technologies ("we", "us") handles information in the KrishikOS mobile application and website (together, "KrishikOS"). KrishikOS is currently in pilot testing, and this policy describes how the product works today.
Who we are
KrishikOS is developed by Prakriya Technologies, Nagarabavi 2nd Stage, Bangalore - 560072, Karnataka, India. For any privacy question, write to info@krishikos.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your mobile number, which is used to sign you in with a one-time password (OTP). KrishikOS does not use passwords.
- Profile information. Your name, preferred language and the location details you choose to enter (state, district, taluk, village).
- Farm records you create. Farms, plots, crops, work entries, workers and teams, attendance, wages and payments, expenses, harvests, sales, stock and livestock records.
- Photos and files you attach. Images and documents you add to activities, advisory tickets, reports or marketplace listings.
- Advisory and network content. Advisory tickets and messages, treatment plans, connections, follows and direct messages you send within the platform.
- Marketplace listings. The listing details and contact information you choose to publish.
- App and device information. App version and basic device information, used to support the app and understand which versions are in use.
- Location. Only if you grant permission, and only while the app is open. KrishikOS does not collect background location.
How we use information
- To provide the KrishikOS features you use, and to keep your records available on your account.
- To connect you with the people you choose to follow, connect with or seek advice from.
- To show your marketplace listings to other users when you publish them.
- To send you notifications about activity that concerns you, such as advisory replies and messages.
- To operate, support, secure and improve the platform.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not read or share your private farm records with other users. Your farm, labour, expense and harvest data is yours.
- We do not collect background or continuous location.
- We do not process payments inside KrishikOS. Marketplace dealings happen directly between the people involved.
What other people can see
Some information is shared by design, and only in these situations:
- Your public profile — your name, role and general location can be seen by other users who find you or scan your profile QR code.
- Your mobile number — shown to another user only once you have an accepted connection with them.
- Marketplace listings — the details you publish are visible to other signed-in users. Contact numbers are shown in a masked form in listings and revealed when a user chooses to contact you.
- Advisory content — visible to the participants of that advisory ticket.
If you block another user, KrishikOS stops that person from reaching your profile through the platform.
Storage and retention
Farm records you create are stored on your device and synchronised to our servers so they are not lost if you change devices. Data is retained while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, write to info@krishikos.com.
Security
Access to KrishikOS requires OTP sign-in on your mobile number. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to your records is restricted to your account. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we continue to improve our safeguards as the product develops.
Children
KrishikOS is intended for adults engaged in agriculture and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as KrishikOS develops. The revision date at the top of this page will always show when it was last changed.
